-The woman who snatches a baby from a playground claims she is the child's mother.
To the screenwriter, such a disappointment, and not just any disappointment, it is a stupid ending. For all these years, I have been faithful with watching every episodes of SVU. No matter how sick and sorry the cases came to be, how unfair when the criminals got away with their crimes, I swallowed them up with the realization that things are not always perfect in real life and justice is not always served. But if S14E07 is how Olivia is going to go down, I think she should take some time off the unit. Else, we will start seeing her slipping criminals in every other episodes. Screenwriter, please, no more lame job ok!? I have all my faith in you.
The ending is so predictable, with the daughter being the killer instead of the mom. Don't see any new issues being covered in this episode to allow audiences to ponder on after the show. Or, that the episode didn't manage to present the issues clearly.
Really disappointed with Olivia's decision, it's so not her! She should have known better, after being in the unit for so many years, and seeing worse cases by the tons. The law is the law, nobody is above it, nor below it. If your rights have been violated, just as many of the victims Olivia had came across, they should get their justice. If you've committed a crime, no matter if it was a premeditated murder, or out of a fit of rage, you'll have to be trialled and to pay for it. Just because the girl and her mother are in a sympathetic condition, it doesn't mean that the girl can get away with it, while the mom took up the penalty. There were others who have killed out of desperation and fear. The jury will take those circumstances into consideration.
So, the mother has cancer, that means the kid should get away with murder. I DON'T THINK SO! A ridiculous conclusion to this episode. And a lack of justice for the poor woman whose baby was stolen from her. Mentally ill or not, she deserved some sympathy.
