Lost Recap: "This Place is Death"

No amount of Lost spoilers could have prepared one for unexpected twists, bizarre encounters and developments of last night's episode. Some of the biggest issues are still unresolved and significant plot holes remain, but this thrill ride certainly wasn't boring.

Locke set out to stop the island's flashes through time, even if it meant sacrificing himself, while Sun's confrontation of Ben led to a startling revelation.

Lost Interview With Daniel Dae Kim

Now that Jin is alive again on Lost, Daniel Dae Kim has been busy making rounds doing interviews.  In Kim's latest interview with TV Guide, he talks about his reintroduction and even teases a little about where Jin's storyline is going.

TVGuide.com: That was a very cool reintroduction you got.
Daniel Dae Kim: Yeah! I was happy with the way they did that, for sure.

TVGuide.com: What is going through Jin's mind at this moment?
Kim: [Laughs] Probably water. Water. Food. I don't think he really cares about anything else. He's probably so dehydrated and dazed that he doesn't have much awareness of what's going on.

TVGuide.com: And without Faraday around to explain to him the time-jumping thing...
Kim: I think he's still confused as to how this could be. But you'll see that he goes through his own little "excellent adventure." [Laughs] Like Bill and Ted.

Jin-Soo Kwon

TVGuide.com: Do you think Jin would approve of the mission of vengeance Sun is currently on in the States?
Kim: I think that Jin, in his transition to who he is now, would probably make less of a judgment on Sun for anything.

TVGuide.com: Maybe she'll learn that he's alive before she goes too far?
Kim: I'm curious to find that out myself. I'd like to see how much of her new personality is because of what she believes happened to Jin, or is it part of a larger growth for her?

TVGuide.com: Is it safe to say they will be reunited by the Season 5 finale?
Kim: You know what? I am not sure. We just got the script for [Episode] 13 out of 17. But I think it's inevitable that they're reunited at some point.

TVGuide.com: What else can you tease about Jin's upcoming storyline?
Kim: I can say this: He finally has some scenes with characters that he, in five years, has never really interacted with.

You can read the rest of the interview at TV Guide.

Lost Spoilers: Will Walt Return?

If you're wondering if Malcolm David Kelly will be reprising his role as Walt on Lost during season five, TV Guide has some news for you.  According to their latest column, Kelly recently filmed an episode of Lost that is set to air February 25.

Now, will Walt have to return to the Island like the Oceanic Six?  Accoridng to Michael Emerson, "The writers would say that Walt ... left the island at a time that wasn't key. It's not just about the six who left; it's about when and how they left."  Well I guess not then.

Lots of Lost Spoilers

Now that Jin is back, albeit in another time, Lost fans are dying to know if and when Jin and Sun will finally reunite.  Luckily, Kristin Dos Santos tells us that "it may be sooner than you think think.  I think, you'll be surprised if and when you see it."

Jin and Sun

Kristin also tells us that Lance Reddick is coming back to Lost during the February 25 episode, which means maybe we'll earn a bit more about Matthew Abaddon.

Charolette (Rebeca Mader) fans should be happy to know that her character is safe for now with the emphasis on "for now."  Apparently the actress may be released from the show to film a movie with George Clooney.  We feel sorry for her.

Mader reveals a little about her character saying that she and Daniel "must have a history. Because it's like they just got to this island and all of a sudden they appear to have—he apparently loves her, he's in love with her, which is huge."

Losing Another Islander

Looks like we're about to lost another islander on this week's episode of Lost according to Korbi TV.  She also said that the ABC announcer even said so at yesterday's Lakers game, "For the island castaways, their destiny demands sacrifice, and this week, someone will not survive."

Uh oh, any idea who we're about to lose?  Think it's the sick Charlotte?

Daniel Dae Kim Discusses Latest Lost Twist

Rivaling John Locke's reaction upon running into young Charles Widmore on the island a half century ago, Lost's Jin is in the midst of a major double-take of his own.

On last night's episode, "The Little Prince," he was rescued ... in the late 1980s ... by none other than Danielle Rousseau. That's a lot to wrap your head around.

No wonder this time-traveling madness causes brain hemorrhages.

Asked to weigh on his character's twist-filled reintroduction to the show, Daniel Dae Kim tells TV Guide, "I was happy with the way they did that, for sure!"

Jin now is left to piece together for himself what - and when - is going on. Is his English good enough to communicate with his rescuers and get some answers?

Jin and Sun

"That is a very interesting question," says Kim. "Watching Jin's journey with English over the next few episodes will be ... very interesting."

Jin's wife, Sun - as well as many Lost fans who should know better by now - presumed Jin dead when the freighter exploded with him seemingly on it in the Season Four finale.

That's how the bosses wanted it. No Lost spoilers here - they purposely omitted Kim from the Season 5 cast photo and from promotional pictures for this week's episode.

Participating in the months-long deception was no biggie for Kim.

"They assured me from the beginning that it didn't mean anything more than exactly what it was - a ruse," he says. "I just kept my head down, did my work and let them worry about that stuff."

Now that's he's "officially" back, Kim will be digitally re-inserted into the cast photo. "At least that's what I'm being told will happen," he says with a laugh. "I mean, I was at that photo shoot."

Lost Recap: "The Little Prince"

As this week's Lost spoilers predicted, the island's violent, confusing jumps through time continued unabated last night. However, at least the pacing was such that the characters actually discussed it and asked questions. After a brief and mysterious stint in the future, Locke, Sawyer & Co. are back at a point in the past where another familiar face first arrived.

Off the island, Kate's search for the man behind the mysterious court order that threatens to take Aaron from her leads to one man and one man alone: Benjamin Linus. But is sweet, demure Sun about to ice that bug-eyed creep once and for all?

Lost Casting Call for a New Character

Looks like we're getting yet another new character on Lost starting in episode fourteen this season.  According to Korbi TV, the Lost producers are looking for a new actress to play Sophie, who will be in her late 30s, British, a prim and proper arisocratic type who can be tough when she needs to protect her family.

Oh and apparently she needs to be relatively short for "matching purposes."  I wonder what that means.
