Lost Recap: "The Incident"

After five seasons, we finally know who Jacob is. He's a real person! A very, very old, mysterious, seemingly all-knowing and immortal person. Who is murdered at the end, naturally.

Only on Lost.

Last night's season finale was one for the ages ... many different ages. Jacob has been connected with some of our favorite characters for a long time, as well as with the island's past.

John Locke's reason for being is also revealed in the shocking conclusion.

With some major questions answered, but a few hundred new questions now unanswered as we await the sixth and final season, let the Lost spoilers for January 2010 begin!

Lost Season Five Finale Spoilers

Lost season five comes to an end next Wedesday with its finale episode, "The Incident."  Co-creator Damon Lindelof, who co-penned the finale episode, told Ausiello Files, "All I will say is that it is time for the time travel craziness to end."

Lindelof continues, "And once it does end, something very, very surprising will happen in its wake. It is a little bit of a game-changer."

In much more spoilery news, Jorge Gracia said, "People will find out why [Hurley] got on the plane and how he came to get that guitar case in his hands."

Gracia confesses, ""I've been wondering about that, too. I remember at one point asking a question about it and getting a, 'We don't know yet.' I had to ask once, 'How heavy is it? Is it just a guitar? Is it something else? How heavy is it supposed to be?' Sometimes I get an empty case to lug around in a scene and sometimes it has a guitar in it, but we don't actually know what's in it because that has not been [revealed] yet."

Garcia continues, "It could be a case full of food or money or guns or papers or anything. So you see me get the case by the finale, but I don't know that we will find out what's in it. It was hard for me to play because at first I did not understand why Hurley would have ever changed his mind about going back to the island, and I'm sure fans are thinking the same thing. So it will be nice to be able to give them that information."

Lost Recap: "Follow the Leader"

As confusing as the fifth season of Lost has been, and despite its utter lack of direction, last night's episode certainly set up some great scenarios for next week's season finale.

Lost spoilers from this week, as well as clues dropped all season long, prepared us for some of what we saw last night, but as always, there were new wrinkles left and right.

Will Jack really detonate "Jughead," and what would happen if he did? Can an emboldened Locke finally meet Jacob - and will we? Are Sawyer, Kate and Juliet really leaving?

Lost Preview: "Follow the Leader"

In this first clip from "Follow the Leader," Radzinsky attempts to torture Sawyer to get whatever information he can from him.  We all know that's very little.

In the second clip, Kate and Jack disagree on how to procede when they hear gunshots coming from the camp.  Follow the jump to watch.

Lost Recap: "The Variable"

Last season's "The Constant" was one of the best episodes of Lost (which aired its 100th last night). Wednesday's time-traveling counterpart, "The Variable," was up there as well.

Lost spoilers from this week, as well as clues dropped in previous episodes this season, certainly hhinted at some of the developments in this episode, but nothing prepared us for two of the bombshells dropped out of nowhere in the last five minutes.

What does Daniel Faraday know about the island - and can he get the Oceanic refugees back to where (and when) they belong? Just who is this mysterious physicist anyway?

Lost Season Finale Title: Revealed!

It's depressing to admit, but the fifth (and penultimate!) season of Lost comes to an end in two weeks.

Instead of contemplating how empty our Wednesday nights (and, let's face it, our lives) will be when it's over, let's focus what remains instead. Specifically, the two-hour season finale.

Janitor Jack

ABC has finally released the title of the May 13 episode. What is it? What clues does it offer? Read on and find out!

Lost Clips: "The Variable"

Lost Creator J.J. Abrams Discusses Spoilers

This article contains absolutely no Lost spoilers!  This is actually Lost creator J.J. Abrams discussing his opinion on Lost spoilers.

As the guest editor of Wird, J.J. wrote the following in his article about Mystery:

People often ask me how "Lost" is going to end. I usually tell them to ask Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who run that series. But I always wonder, do they really want to know? And what if I did tell them? They might have an aha moment, but without context. Especially since the final episode is a year away. That is to say, the experience—the setup for a joke's punch line, the buildup to a magic trick's big flourish—is as much of a thrill as the result. There's discovery to be made and wonder to be had on the journey that not only enrich the ending but in many ways define it

J.J. Abrams

Abrams then goes more into the actual specifics of spoilers:

But the real damage isn't so much that the secret gets out. It's that the experience is destroyed. The illusion is diminished. Which may not matter to some. But then what's the point of actually seeing that movie or episode? How does knowing the twist before you walk into the theater—or what that island is really about before you watch the finale—make for a richer viewing experience? It's telling that the very term itself—spoiler—has become synonymous with "cool info you can get before the other guy." What no one remembers is that it literally means "to damage irreparably; to ruin." Spoilers make no bones about destroying the intended experience—and somehow that has become, for many, the preferred choice.'

Don't worry, we have every intention of continuing to spoil Lost for those of you who want it.  We know we sure do.  Those of you who don't, we always try to keep our headlines spoiler-free and label asspoilers accordingly.
