Major Crimes Season 4 Episode 7 focuses on the investigation into the death of two cops. The cops' last moments, in which they were gunned down by two other officers, are replayed in flashback while Major Crimes investigates. Their investigation leads them to the suspect the dead cops had in custody, who turns out to be the nephew of a gang member. They focus their search on finding him and ending his reign of terror.

While the manhunt is on for Rico, Rusty is on a hunt of his own. He's heard from a source who knew Alice, and his friend TJ is afraid that this person might be very dangerous. Rusty sets out to do a background check on his source when his plan to meet him in a public place fails to impress his friend.

Rusty's search leads him to volunteer to help on the tip lines, while the cops' investigation brings them face to face with the possibility that the officers were killed by one of their own.
