Phil had no idea why he and Claire got into a major fight on Modern Family this week. Turned out, it was due to the fact that she thinks her husband never takes her advice. Case in point here:
Phil excited over the concept of a wedge salad, which Claire had been getting him to try for years, but which he only stumbled upon on this episode because a friend recommended it.
Elsewhere:
- Jay made the mistake of purchasing a karaoke machine for Gloria. She wouldn't stop singing until Manny did what Jay could not: he told his mom that he loved her, but she simply had to throw the machine away. It was tearing apart the family.
- Mitchell forgot to send out invitations to a major party Cam was organizing. But he made up for it by scrambling at the last second and getting a bunch of family members and strangers to show up. That helped Cam gain an advantage of his rival party planner, a gay guy named Andrew.
