Gloria's sister came to visit. It's her sister she is competitive with and has a strained relationship with. Her flight is canceled last minute, the Jay and Gloria plan to stay home and order in with her on Valentine's Day.

Gloria randomly trips on Joe's toy and twists her ankle. When she's down and out her sister hits on Jay. Gloria catches her on the baby monitor and they duke it out.

Over at the Dunphy's, Claire says she wants a low-key night without Clive Bixby's annual Valentine's Day appearance. Phil is disappointed, especially when Claire is 20 minutes late and calls to say she is canceling because of car trouble.

Once they hang up, Claire pops up as Juliana, her alter ego, and the two have a wild night that includes stealing champagne, hooking up in a glass elevator, skinny dipping, and sex in the hotel. Later on Claire worries that Phil prefers Juliana to her, so she sets out to destroy the fantasy by saying gross things and insulting his favorite movie.

Cam and Mitchell visit a friend with a belated wedding present that they end up keeping for themselves.
