The NCIS team investigates the murder of two pharmaceutical executives assigned to them by Granger. They work with an Interpol agent because the deaths match a similar M.O. of killings in Brazil and Russia. They figure out that a criminal they thought was killed by the team, DeGramont was actually alive. He was the driver that Callen shot in the face and put in prison, rather than the man killed. He paid off a prison administrator to let him out of jail and paid someone to take his place. There are many twists and turns during the investigation. In the end, Granger unwittingly let a fake Interpol agent into the fold. And, DeGramont got away, but not before threatening to kill Callen.
