NCIS gets called in to investigate a murder-by-drone case that was caught on video. The man attempted to bring down the drone from his balcony, but it explodes knocking him to the ground instead.

Nell gets the opportunity to go into the field because she's an expert on drones. She's plays a pivotal role in the investiagation and helps solve the case. Hetty asks Nell about her desire to become an undercover agent. Nell's interested, but realizes she has to do it her own way or not at all.
