When you watch New Girl Season 4 Episode 21, you'll see just how far someone will go to be with the one they love. Coach and May decide to break up because she's moving to New York and he doesn't see a long distance relationship working for them. At first, Coach seems OK, but when he's teaching a sex education class he has a meltdown and admits he misses May. Jess tries to convince Coach to go tell May how he really feels, but Nick and Winston have other plans for them and they end up going out to get drunk. May comes by the loft and Jess gets her to talk about what happened and May admits she sees herself with Coach and even thought they've only been together for a short time, she's in love with him. When she goes to tell Coach how she feels, she's shocked to see a bunch of women all over Coach and she leaves. Coach admits he is still hung up on her and sees him getting old with May, so Jess finally convinces Coach to go tell May how he really feels. At the recording studio, Coach lays it all out on the line and they reconcile and decide to move to New York together. Meanwhile, Fawn has Schmidt read a statement in front of the press about what really happened at the golf game and in the statement, which Schmidt hasn't read, he takes full blame for what happened and admits he's a pervert. Later at a lingerie store, Schmidt realizes the relationship between him and Fawn could never work because they don't love each other and so Schmidt breaks up with Fawn, but he makes sure he is seen as the bad guy for the press.
