One Tree Hill Round Table: "The Killing Moon"

They did not find Nathan, Haley and Dan blew up at each other, and the old Brooke Davis went nuts on the new Tree Hill Café.

It’s time for our panel of Miranda Wicker, Brian Shure, Nick McHatton and Dan Forcella to tackle those subjects and more in the weekly installment of the One Tree Hill Round Table.

Read their answers below, and then leave your own in the comments!

--------------------------------------

What was your favorite moment from the episode?

Miranda: My favorite moment has to go to one of the lighter ones; Jamie thinking Clay might be a werewolf and testing him with the silver coin. The episodes are getting heavier and heavier so the moments of exhale are nice (and necessary) additions.

Brian: I'm going to have to go with the encounter between Dan and Haley. This was brewing from the second Nate went missing and it was only a matter of time before Haley started to question his motives. For the record, she is wrong but who could blame her reaction based on the situation and Dan's past.

Nick: Brooke's speech saying she used to be a bitch just to be a bitch, but now she's a bitch for her friends and family. I absolutely loved it, and it's great to see the humorous side to B. Davis again.

Dan: My favorite moment had to be when Chris Keller uttered such nice things about Haley and Nathan to the police officer so they would start looking for Nathan sooner. I love when bad guys do good things, so this was so refreshing.

Did you believe Dan's plea to Haley?

Miranda: Someone said in the comments last week that it's unlikely that Dan's responsible because surely the writers will want to redeem him by the end. I watched with that thought in mind and I still think Dan knows something. His plea to Haley about knowing nothing regarding Nathan's disappearance rang incredibly false to me. And too much time seems to have passed between when he was given the baseball and the picture and when he set the diner fire for Nathan to still be vulnerable, as Dan claimed. I believe pretty much none of what he says.

Brian: Yes, 100 percent. As I said last week, Dan has nothing to do with Nate's disappearance. I believe once again Dan Scott will save the day for his family and get Nathan back, finally giving him the redemption he so desperately seeks.

Nick: I kind of do? Dan is an evil man, and he's been evil to a lot of people, including his own children. But ever since Jamie has been in the picture I don't believe he's ever been cruel to his children. His grandchildren changed him.

Dan: I do. I agree with Miranda that it feels like he's not being 100% truthful, but I believe in his plea. I believe he has good intentions for his family at this point. Maybe it was the introduction of his grandchildren. A second chance for a new generation?

Better Brooke Davis moment; her "first of all, eww" to Chase, or dismantling Tree Hill Cafe?

Miranda: Dismantling the cafe!!! That's some crazy angry rage and is way more awesome than her "Eww." Way. Plus, it's another scene from the flash forward (or is it back? Are we flashed back right now??) that we can check off the list.

Brian: The "first of all, eww" moment was one of the best lines from the episode. It was a great scene which exposed the Chase/Tara relationship, and brought out a little of the old Brook Davis. I also totally forgot about the whole Brooke/Chase thing a bunch of seasons ago.

Nick: Dismantling the cafe. The queen bitch is back and I'm loving it!

Dan: I think the few minutes from the premiere were a "flash forward" as we should consider the majority of the season "real time." Anyway, I enjoyed the "Eww" moment a lot. Her going ape shit on the cafe was great, but nothing beats some good Brooke Davis sass.

Were you at all surprised that Chris Keller let Chuck down after he was so heroic for Haley at the police station?

Miranda: I wasn't surprised at all that Chris Keller didn't go meet Chuck's dad. It was a total Chris Keller move. He helped Haley because somehow helping her helps himself. Chris Keller is nothing if not an opportunist.

Brian: Not in the slightest. He may have changed a little, but in the end Chris Keller only cares about himself. Plus the way the Chuck/Chris Keller storyline was unfolding, it was only a matter of time before he let him down.

Nick: Not really, Keller has always had a soft spot for Haley...in a way only Chris Keller could. So him letting down everyone else wasn't surprising.

Dan: Yeah I wasn't surprised that he reverted to normal Chris Kellerisms, but I think there is time for Chris Keller too to redeem himself fully.

As you may know, Lucas Scott is making his way back to Tree Hill in a couple weeks. Why do you think he's coming home?

Miranda: I am honestly clueless about this one. It's NOT Dan behind Nathan's disappearance and it's actually someone still holding a grudge against both brothers?? A book signing?? I have no idea. I just wish his hair wouldn't be as awful as it's going to be.

Brian: I imagine he will resurface as a result of both Nate being missing and Dan Scott taking on a significant role back with his family, which he will not be too pleased with.

Nick: Well he is Haley's best friend so I assume she needs him now more than ever, since Nathan is missing and Dan is circling the water around her.

Dan: In response to all of your answers, I must say, there has been crisis before. I understand it's a matter of getting the actor to come back for a few episodes, but sometimes it's difficult to accept that Lucas wouldn't have made the trip back before now for some of the good and bad things that have happened since he's left.

Who took Nathan and for what reason? Neither of those questions were answered this week on One Tree Hill.

But have patience, fans, you only need to wait a few days more.

On next Wednesday's "Catastrophe and the Cure," Dan will enlist the help of Julian (and a few guns, as teased below) in his search for Nathan, while fans will be treated to a scene that depicts the bound character and outlines the exact reason behind his kidnapping. Wish to remain in the dark? Don't click play on the second video.

One Tree Hill Review: Dan Scott Started The Fire

We came into "The Killing Moon" wondering what had happened to Nathan Scott. By the end of the hour, though, I had no better explanation of who took him, or for what reason, than when we started. Did you?

Dan did set his diner on fire on purpose. We know that. The question remains whether or not we should believe him when he told Haley that all of his intentions were good. If so, he's just an old man that is trying to get closer to his family, and I can respect that. If he's lying, that would be a horrific character arc for Dan Scott.

Apparently Haley thinks he's lying, as she ended the episode with a call to 911. Not enough credit is given to Bethany Joy for her wonderful work on One Tree Hill, so I will take this time to shower her with praise for the fantastic job she did of portraying the worried wife.

Haley started out in a bit of denial, then began to worry, then seriously freaked out. At each point, Galeotti made the necessary changes in her demeanor, and had me believing every step of the way that she was seriously worried about her husband.

Was that final phone call really from a woman that knew for sure the man she was just talking to kidnapped her husband? I'm still not sure, and I don't think Haley was either. She was certainly scared, as I would be too if a murderer grabbed me by the arms and stared into my eyes - but I don't think she is certain Dan had something to do with it. Even if she's 50% sure, however, that's worth calling the cops, so good job Mrs. Scott.

Elsewhere in Tree Hill, a number of people were coming through in the clutch. Quinn took care of Jamie and Lydia while Haley was handling the Nathan business; Chris Keller helped Haley as well, explaining how great she and Nathan are to the cop; and Chase was there for Chuck once again in his time of need.

Chris Keller helping Haley was nice and all - and sort of surprising - but it was all for naught after watching him let down the boy he affectionately calls "Kid Keller." I don't care how many cute nicknames you come up with, or how many times you charmingly refer to yourself in the third person, if you're not there for Chuck Scolnik, you and me will have a problem.

For a kid that has a ton of sass himself, Chuck is extremely difficult not to love. Therefore, when Chris Keller treated him like dirt, it was easy for people like me and Chase to get angry.

Although I didn't have the ability to be there for Chuckles, Chase did, and of course... he acted on it. It was great watching them shoot hoops together and hearing Chuck tell Chase he didn't think he even had to ask him to come meet his dad, but it was truly heartbreaking watching Chuck's deadbeat dad toss Chase to the side like he's Chris Keller.

While I wish I could put Chase and Chuck in the Relationship Rankings, because they would be number one in my book, this thing is meant for couples. Guess who is back in the one spot!

1. Brulian
Julian and Brooke return to the top, maybe for the latter's dismantling of Tree Hill Cafe alone. Thanks to Tara's note on Julian's car about frying babies, Brooke went nutso - tearing her rival's restaurant limb from limb - and it was awesome! It was also the second "flash forward" scene from the premiere.

The third "flash" scene was Julian getting the absolute snot beat out of him after picking a fight with a big ole dude at the bar. Why did that happen? Because of the note Tara left him on his car. That girl really likes to stir up trouble, doesn't she?

As angry as I am that Julian continues to be down in the dumps, it's worth it if said state comes with pep talks from Brooke about trusting him as a father.

2. Naley
The absence of Nathan drops this couple down a spot, but Haley's loving fight to find him keeps the couple at number-two.

3. Millimouth
With Mouth off eating healthy, and Millie simply helping to make a coffee drink or two, these two stay neutral for the time being.

4. Chrara
They are doomed, and after what Chris Keller did to my man Chuck, how could they be any higher? Tara is treating Chris Keller like dirt, sending cockroach infested plants to Karen's Cafe, and writing awful notes to Julian. She is one terrible human being, and I love every minute of it.

5. Clinn
As if you expected to see any other couple in the bottom spot! Hopefully little Logan can help Clay turn things around, because if I have to listen to him wax on about not wanting to get better, I am going to throw something at the television. Just take the advice and get fixed. It might take time. It might take some work. You have an issue and let's get to the bottom of it.

Quinn, on the other hand, was at her best this week because she was with Jamie. Let's hope she babysits for the rest of the season.

-------------------------

About the "flash forward" scenes: now that we've had them in two straight episodes, I have come to the conclusion that they work. The first five minutes was a great way to whet our appetites, and now after seeing them come to us in real time two weeks in a row, it's only making things more interesting.

It was a great idea, and it has been some great execution so far.

I continue to enjoy the final season of One Tree Hill. What did you all think of "The Killing Moon?" Do you think Dan has something to do with Nathan's disappearance? Will Clay ever get better? How is Julian going to get out of this funk? And who tops your One Tree Hill Relationship Rankings this week?

One Tree Hill Preview & Sneak Peek: "The Killing Moon"

The whereabouts of Nathan Scott will take center stage on tomorrow night's new episode of One Tree Hill.

So will a very powerful performance by Bethany Joy Galeotti as Haley, according to producer Mark Schwahn, who teases "The Killing Moon" in one of the two following videos. In the other, we witness a panicked Haley try to report her husband as missing.

One Tree Hill Round Table: "Don't You Want to Share the Guilt?"

We were all treated to another riveting episode of One Tree Hill’s final season last Wednesday. Chelsea Kane’s Tara was introduced, Clay and Quinn had a run in with a drug dealer, and something horrible may have happened to Nathan Scott.

Our panel of Nick McHatton, Miranda Wicker, Brian Shure, and Dan Forcella tackle those subjects and more in the most recent installment of the TV Fanatic Round Table. Read their answers below and then leave your own in the comments!

-------------------------------------------

What was the funniest moment from the episode?

Nick: Clay and Quinn vs. the drug dealer. I'm sorry. I can't take them seriously, at all. I also thoroughly enjoyed Brooke being old Brooke for a little while in the competition's cafe, striking fear into Mouth and Skills.

Miranda: This was a pretty heavy episode, so funny is hard! I'll go with the guys at the bar one-upping each other.

Brian: Finding out "not-Alex" is Chris Keller's girlfriend. It wasn't really a moment, but having Skills back on the show is a huge plus.

Dan: I'll jump on Brian's Skills love with the funniest moment being him flat out saying to Mouth, "You fat."

We saw the first scene from the premiere's "flash forward" (Clay/Quinn fight). Any new thoughts on this story telling device?

Nick: If it was for anyone other than Clay and Quinn, I would love it. Sadly, their characters are terrible.

Miranda: Honestly, I'd kind of forgotten that was in the opening sequence. That's how much I care about Clay and Quinn. As a story-telling device though, it works. I like that we're on the hunt for these scenes now.

Brian: Honestly the opening scene in the premiere was the only redeemable moment from this whole Clay/Quinn angle. I liked the idea of what the writers were trying to do with the flash forward, however nothing can save this storyline.

Dan: While I also could care less about the Clinn story, the fact that we finally saw one scene from the "flash forward" does make things interesting. We are now going to be anxiously awaiting the rest of them. How will Chase end up in the cop car? When will Dan and Chris Keller hook up?

What are your first impressions of Tara?

Nick: It's the girl from that Disney Channel show! I like Chase's character, and anything that gives him something to do (poor choice of words, Nick. Poor choice of words) is just fine in my book.

Miranda: Lame. Why are we introducing a new character when there are only nine episodes left. And Chris Keller's girl? No way. Chris Keller doesn't believe in monogamy.

Brian: She seems like trouble, but no complaints here. Good pull by Chase, and it seems like Chris Keller deserves what’s coming to him.

Dan: Well I've been a fan of hers since she was Chelsea Staub playing Joe Jonas's love interest, so I've been awaiting her arrival for months now. While agree there isn't a general need to introduce new characters with so little time left in the series, with the departure of Alex - and no Mia in sight - we needed something for Chase to do before the show ends.

Who took Nathan, and why?

Nick: I want to say Dan did somehow, but would Dan really be that cruel to his own son?

Miranda: I'm not sure who actually took him, but Dan's behind it. I think the drug dealer in the park is a red herring so we'll think Nathan's disappearance is related to the dealer-Dan showdown. Gah. Dan Scott. Father of the Year, people!

Brian: As I said last week, Dan is going to find a way to stay in Nathan's house. They want you to think Dan is behind this, but I just don't see it. I think he has changed and whatever happened to Nate, Dan will be the one who saves the day, again. I'll go with the drug dealer being behind this.

Dan: I said in my review that Dan is a very likely choice, but I don't feel like that is the move they will make. The man needs to have some sort redemption, right? What is the point of bringing him back for the final season if it is just to do something almost as awful as killing his own brother?

Who tops your One Tree Hill Relationship Rankings?

Nick: Brooke and Julian. So much of the heart and humor revolve around them, and without them I don't think I would still be watching the show.

Miranda: Nathan + Haley = 4eva!! They are the original OTH couple and have definitely earned their place at the top of my list of OTH relationships.

Brian: It's extremely early but at the moment, I'll go with Chase and Tara. Chase has grown into a major character this season, coming a long way from Stephen Colletti's Laguna days.

Dan: I like the optimism Brian, but it is sooooo early to be making the Chot Alex call. Naley topped my rankings this week, but overall Brulian is my favorite couple. They bring the most to the table week in and week out.

One Tree Hill Sneak Preview: Where's Nathan?!?

Based on the way this week's installment of One Tree Hill ended, it's rather clear what will be the main focus of next Wednesday's "The Killing Moon," isn't it?

The whereabouts of Nathan Scott. Look for Quinn to distract Jackson on the episode, as Haley goes in search of her man. Elsewhere...

Clay will receive a few answers regarding his condition.'

Brooke will try to keep an open mind about Tara.

Julian will attempt a return to a regular life.

One Tree Hill Review: Drug Dealers Beware

Julian left Baby Davis in the hot car last week. Nathan didn't make it home on "Don't You Want to Share the Guilt?." Indeed, One Tree Hill is not slowing down at all in season nine.

Seriously, how many more of these cliff hangers can we take before we start to black out on the regular like Clay?

I'll get to the latest in a long line of twists and turns for Clay (that I could care less about) later on. First, this Nathan issue needs to be addressed. The stuffed animal he had for Lydia was lying by the curb at the airport, so the most logical conclusion is that harm was done to him after landing in Tree Hill.

Who would want to hurt Nathan? The only person that we are familiar with that has the means, the history, and the motive is... Dan Scott, the father. We know he can do harm. He has killed in the past, his own brother in fact. Most importantly, if Nathan doesn't make it home, Dan gets to continue to spend time with Jamie and Lydia, the one thing that seems to make Dan Scott happier than we've ever seen him.

The only thing that makes me question this hypothesis is the timing. Haley and Dan had a conversation in the house around the time Nathan was supposed to be arriving home. It is definitely possible that he slipped out and kidnapped his own son in a matter of minutes, but it still would have been tricky to maneuver. I wouldn't put it past him, though.

As much as I can see Dan as the culprit, I would absolutely hate that to be outcome after the little things he has done to help around town. Camping out with Jamie was great, but the double whammy of meetings with the drug dealer and Clay were what really made him a bit of a hero here.

He was so quietly scary when threatening the dealer to stay away from his family, and then so loud and scary when knocking sense into Clay on the beach. He can do it in a variety of ways, and he seems to now be doing it out of love, but Dan Scott will always be frightening.

Do you know who else was kind of scary? "Not Alex"...or Tara as her name seems to be. The last time I saw Chelsea Kane on screen she was playing opposite the Jo Bros on the Disney Channel. I don't think this type of performance is even allowed anywhere near Disney.

Her character of Tara was sexy, she was seductive, she was downright spiteful. Between doing the deed with the recently heartbroken Chase 10 times (or was it 11?) while dating Chris Keller of all people, and being the one behind all of the drama at the Tree Hill Cafe, Tara has been up to a whole bunch of trouble.

That will certainly cause audiences to either love her or hate her. Guess what side I'm on. Of course I love her. I always enjoy the bad ones. Tara doesn't seem to care what anyone in Tree Hill thinks of her, which will make for plenty of entertaining moments. We were already treated to a few of those, like that awkward conversation between Tara, Chase and Chris at the bar, and Brooke yelling at everyone in her path at the cafe because of the sign Tara put it.

After noting that watching Kane interact with real life boyfriend Stephen Colletti on screen just makes it all that much more fun, let's take a look at this week's One Tree Hill Relationship Rankings...

1. Naley
Thanks to Haley's tireless efforts as the Tree Hill motherly figure, this long-time couple takes over the top spot this week. It was great watching her hand out long heartfelt speeches to both Julian and Brooke about her experiences with Jamie, and why those two will continue to be good parents. Sure, Nathan still wasn't around, and he might be in some serious danger in the near future, but it was nice to see him on that super clear video chat.

2. Millimouth
It was nice to see Mouth finally come around on his eating problem, but in the meantime, it was hilarious to watch Skills shoot straight with him. From the second Antwon walked through the door, he was telling Mouth that the kid got fat. The super awkward conversation on camera was the best. Skills talked about his job for two seconds before Millie made it all about exercise, then Mouth started defending himself, and finally Skills jumped in again telling Mouth how fat he was. The house salad with no dressing is a fine choice Marvin, but you should also probably hit a treadmill while you eat it.

3. Brulian
These two fall back a few spots due to their depression all episode long. It was a very sad thing that happened, but like Haley explained to them, nothing that bad actually went down. Julian made a mistake, but everything is okay. Davis is okay. I just hope the dude gets out of his funk soon. Happy, goofy Julian is a lot more fun to watch.

4. Chrara
Yes, you read that correctly. Chris Keller and Tara. Yes, she's sleeping with Chase, but technically she and Chris are a couple. I don't care if she is a cheating slut, Chris and Tara are still more fun and interesting than the next couple on the list.

5. Clinn
Bring on the hate, people. If you enjoy watching these two, and have enjoyed Clay's sleepwalking/pain medication/black out story, then more power to you. I couldn't have cared less about it. The best part about it is that maybe now that Clay is getting help this plot will be over with and we can all move on to something else...

...like the budding rivalry between Tara and Haley's cafes, or what on Earth happened to Nathan, or how Julian is going to handle what he did to Davis, or what Chris Keller is going to do when he finds out Tara is sleeping with Chase.

There is certainly a lot going on in Tree Hill, and we might be heading down an even darker path than we imagined with Nathan currently missing. How will it all get resolved between now and the series finale? Will Nathan be the one underneath the sheet from the premiere?

I can't wait to find out what happens next on One Tree Hill. What about you? What did you think of "Don't You Want to Share the Guilt?" What was your favorite moment? What do you think happened to Nathan? And who sits at the top of you One Tree Hill Relationship Rankings this week?

One Tree Hill Round Table: "Love the Way You Lie"

A murderous cook, a serious drug problem, and a missing baby were the focus of this week's One Tree Hill. We reviewed the episode in detail on Wednesday, but now it's time to get a few more perspectives.

Our panel of Miranda Wicker, Brian Shure, Nick McHatton and Dan Forcella are here to discuss the above topics and more in the latest installment of TV Fanatic's One Tree Hill Round Table. Sound off in the comments with your own answers to the questions below...

-------------------------------------------

What was the funniest moment from the episode?

Miranda: Hands down, this goes to Julian quoting The Goonies to himself and acting out the different roles. It was funny in that way that is just perfectly Julian.

Brian: I think you meant to say, what was the best Chris Keller moment from the episode? The best character on the show continues to entertain. His scenes in the strip club and at the diner were great, but the funniest moment from the episode was when he discovered the advantage of having interns working for him.

Nick: As we all know I'm a big fan of Victoria zinging her ex-husband, and I loved when Brooke came back from lunch with him and Victoria inadvertently called her a bimbo.

Dan: I have to go with Mouth and the fact that he actually couldn't tell that he blew up. The dude is a house, and he's blaming the dry cleaners for shrinking his shirts? I literally busted out with laughter every time he complained about the shirts.

Is there a better way to deal with loss than alcohol and strippers?

Miranda: I mean, I prefer a good cry and a glass of wine, but I am the only girl in this discussion.

Brian: If that also includes Chase's new partner in crime/enemy turned friend, Chris Keller, then no.

Nick: Not if you're Chris Keller.

Dan: Yes. It is called Fast Food Lasagna.

How would you have handled Dan flipping burgers as a customer? As Haley?

Miranda: As a customer, I probably wouldn't have cared because I would've been starving. (I'm also pregnant. Do not withhold food from pregnant women.) As Haley, I probably would've stuck up for him, too. If feels like it's one of those "we can hate on you but no one else can" things.

Brian: As a customer if I had recognized Dan and had a problem with it, I would have just left. I thought causing a dramatic scene over it was uncalled for. I would have handled it pretty much the same way Haley did, especially in front of Jamie. On a related note, it would not surprise me in the slightest if Dan orchestrated the chef leaving in the first place, to further establish his role back in his family's lives.

Nick: Since I usually don't know who is preparing my food when I go to a restaurant I probably wouldn't have cared because I wouldn't know. If I did know a murderer was cooking my food? Yeah, probably wouldn't have cared. I think Haley handled it well. I wouldn't have done anything different.

Dan: If Dan continued to keep the burgers juicy by only flipping them once or twice, he could cook mine to a perfect medium-well all day long. I agree that Haley did the right thing, but she forgot one thing...the customer is always right.

Did Clay's sleepwalking story pay off in the end?

Miranda: No. Not even a little bit. A doctor who thought his sleepwalking was in his head would've prescribed sleeping pills or anti-anxiety pills. Not pain pills. And most "street pharmacists" don't sell sleeping or anti-anxiety pills, right? I'm still so completely confused by this story line.

Brian: At least there was some direction with it and I am sure it will get a little more interesting in future episodes, but I am not a fan at all of anything related to Quinn or Clay right now.

Nick: No. The only thing I want to do after watching their storyline is put a gun to my head. I'm still confused about all of it as well, is Clay's pill addicting causing him to sleepwalk? Wouldn't any decent doctor test for this if it's a known occurrence from drug use, and knowing his history? It's drama for drama's sake.

Dan: I don't think it paid off either. I agree that the whole thing was a bit confusing, which might have been they attempted to explain the whole thing in a matter of seconds. If I'm correct in assuming that the sleepwalking thing was indeed a hoax by Clay the entire time, that's just pretty dumb.

What exactly happened with Baby Davis?

Miranda: I gasped "oh my god!" when I saw the car and the ambulance. I get such a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach whenever I think about that scene that I can't even bring myself to think of the possibility of what might have happened. When I read about Julian's "mistake" in the preview, this was not even kind of what I was thinking. They cannot let anything happen to Baby Davis.

Brian: I think Baby Davis was left by accident in Julian's car, and just happened to be at the scene of some sort of accident. I don't think Baby Davis was actually harmed but I have no idea. It was a very confusing scene. If something did happen to Baby Davis, it would certainly make some sense of the future scenes we saw in the premiere with Julian.

Nick: Nothing fatal I hope! The scene really hit a common theme that the show has done since its inception - the long pauses on face, a focus on what the character is witnessing, and music swelling in the background. However, like the audience, the scene and characters keep pace with what's happening in our lives, and that's how the show always keeps pulling our heartstrings. Going back to the question though, I really, really hope nothing happened to the little guy.

Dan: The little guy was safe and sound asleep in the car for like five minutes, and some weirdo thought the kid wasn't safe, so he broke in the window and took Davis out. The baby was fine, no need to cause a scene dude. That's my guess anyway.

Be warned, One Tree Hill fans: You are in for some intense drama on Wednesday night.

Following the events from last week, Julian and his guilt will be front and center on "Don't You Want to Share the Guilt?," while Haley will confront a rival cafe with Brooke's help and Quinn will go to extreme measures to get through to Clay.

But it won't be easy. At all. Check out the official CW preview for the installment to come, following by a clip of Quinn and Clay seriously going at it. But not in the naked sense...

One Tree Hill Review: Hey You Lies!

If the opening moments of the One Tree Hill season 9 premiere didn't make it clear that these characters were going to face severe consequences over the next few weeks, then the final minutes of "Love the Way You Lie" certainly did.

Julian Baker, one of the few people in Tree Hill that we have been able to count on for stability over the past couple years, got a bit too excited about the prospect of producing a television show at his way too empty sound stage, and might be paying the ultimate price for it.

What, exactly, happened at the end there? Baby Davis was gone. Julian's car windows were smashed. There was a stretcher, cops and an ambulance at the scene. So was the baby stolen? Hurt? Worse? Whatever the case may be, this is the worst thing that Julian has ever done, and that is taking into account the embarrassing Goonies monologue he performed in front of Jamie's class hours earlier.

At this point, though, not many people that we know in Tree Hill are in good places...well, except maybe Chris Keller, who is having himself a jolly good time interviewing coeds for intern positions and taking Chase out to strip joints.

Even with Julian massively screwing up, the rest of the couples on OTH are in such shambles that he and Brooke still top the One Tree Hill Relationship Rankings this week. Let's say "Chef Jeff" a few times, and then take a look...

1. Brulian
These two have become such a rock that I would be surprised if they don't make it through this latest disaster with ease. Hopefully Davis is okay, and these two can get back to being awesome with each other.

While Julian was begging for people to use his sound stage, eventually getting one, and then buying celebratory booze instead of bringing his kid to day care, Brooke was going through quite the emotional roller coaster herself.

What kind of parents did she end up with? As awful as Ted was to her by using her to benefit the company, Victoria was exponentially worse when she first came back to Tree Hill. Spending some time with the adult Brooke did Mrs. Davis wonders, so maybe if Ted had stayed around, he could have grown to be a more mature person as well.

Now they're both gone - for the time being - and Brooke has to deal with this latest catastrophe with baby Davis. Just when we thought Brooke was happy for once!

2. Naley
Although they weren't on screen together this week, they still have to get mentioned at the two spot because the other two couples were in such disarray.

With Nathan gone, Dan continued to help out, this time by cooking up some mean burgers at Karen's Cafe. I have not been surprised that Haley keeps giving Dan chances to make up for what he did with good deeds, but I was a bit shocked that she did so in such a public manner at the cafe. That's a big move, taking the side of a convicted murderer.

Haley coming to her senses, and relieving Dan of his duties, was nice to see. She was doing it for Karen, and hence for Keith. Haley will allow Dan to stay in HER house, but not in KAREN's cafe. I agree with the lines that Haley draws.

3. Millimouth
Mouth being so blatantly fat, over-eating and complaining about shrunken shirts is hilarious by all accounts. Millie calling him fat, fat, fat! on television does not help their cause as a couple. Honestly, how many times did he have to complain about shrunken shirts, longer stairways and tiny buttons before he got the hint?

It's like when Doug Heffernan on King of Queens first realized he was fat when he saw that his clothes came from the big and tall stores. Some people just can't figure things out, and like Mouth, need to be told in front of all Tree Hill that they're fat, fat, fat!

4. Clinn
So not only was he not sleepwalking, but he was lying to Quinn this entire time about what was going on. And then Clay had the gall to continue to lie to her face when she obviously had caught him in the act. He can say that he's "sorry" as many times as he wants, but how does Quinn get over what he has been doing since the shooting?

No longer ranked is Chalex. Alex is definitely gone, and Chase just drowned in his sorrows for this entire episode. Is he going to continue on this downward spiral until he ends up in the back of that cop car that was foreshadowed in the premiere? I hope not. Hopefully his buddy Chuck will stop emulating Chris Keller for two minutes so that he can cheer Chase up. Alcohol and strippers are not doing the trick.

"Love the Way You Lie" was another good episode of One Tree Hill. What did you all think of the installment? What on earth happened to baby Davis? And who tops your Relationship Rankings this week?
