The song was by Kathleen Edwards and you can't purchase it. I haven't found it posted anywhere, either.

@Lynn, I was looking for the same thing and found a version I think to be the one from the show. Must Have Been Love by Kari Kimmel, available on iTunes. (She sings songs for a lot of tv shows) Hope it's the right one!

It seems the show creator decided to cancel it and not renew it anymore but I guess it had something to do with the fact that the actress Kate Walsh decided to leave the show some months ago and also the character of Tim Daly Peter death also had part of it. My guess is that the show without 2 characters was going to have another kidn of different direction so she decided it was better to cancel it while she could and make a better series finale

Just curious to know why Private Practice is coming to an end. I am going to miss this show very much.
