On Revenge Season 4 Episode 10, Victoria asks David to go to Emily for help against Malcolm Black. He asks her not to interfere not knowing she already has.

Emily and Nolan look into Kate Taylor's background and find that it's squeaky clean. Emily plants cameras in Kate's hotel room and runs into Ben on the way out. She learns that Kate and Jack have gotten close. She tracks Jack down as he goes to work to tell him she believes Kate is dirty.

While David is visiting his old cellmate, Kate pays Victoria a visit. She wants to know Emily's connection to David. Victoria tells Kate that Emily has more than enough money to take care of David's debt and will be willing to do it.

Daniel and Margaux fight about their baby. She tells him she plans to raise the baby alone and later confides in Victoria that she loves Daniel. He has spent the day remembering Conrad, but agrees to meet his mother when he gets a text asking to talk about Margaux. Instead they talk about the ways they've been lying to themselves and Daniel says that Emily forced them to face the truth.

After her talk with Daniel, Victoria tells David she was the one who betrayed him 20 years ago when she stole his computer and delivered it to Conrad. She blames her betrayal on the fact that he never told her the truth about his ex-wife being alive.

Nolan and Louise throw a party to celebrate the reopening of the yacht club. David appears to Emily to tell her not to come running when she hears there's trouble. She asks him not to go after Malcolm Black on his own but he disappears. Emily steals Kate's phone so that Nolan can track Black's location.

Later, Kate confronts Emily about the phone and reveals that she is being blackmailed by Malcolm Black. He has her mother and she needs Emily's help to save her. It turns out that Kate is lying and she's been sent to kill Emily. The two fight and Daniel, who has been on the beach outside the house, hears them inside. He and Jack arrive at the same time, but only one of them survives.
