After last year's finale, our heroes made the treacherous journey to the Tower and were able to turn on the power, but with Flynn sending nukes to the Monroe Republic and Georgia Federation. The effects of this move prove to be catastrophic. Miles, Aaron, and Rachel are now in the Plains' Nation in a small town called Willoughby where Rachel is reunited with her father Gene. Charlie decides to leave home and finds herself on a mission in the Plains Nation chasing a grimy Monroe. Meanwhile, Neville and Jason search a refugee camp for a lost loved one.
