-Traci, a pregnant women is stabbed do death. Maura is able to save her unborn child.

-Traci was a surrogate but they have no idea who the baby's parents are.

-Traci's doctor was also running an adoption con on the side. He sold Traci's baby twice.

-The biological father is James Tolliver but his wife's eggs were not used. The mother is Randi, a nurse at the clinic. She murdered Traci and planned on taking the baby but was interrupted.

-Randi tries to steal the baby from the NICU but is stopped by Maura and Jane. The Tolliver's will receive custody of the baby.

-Angela Rizzoli needs a distraction from her divorce and is driving Jane crazy. When Angela says the only talent she has is being a mother, Maura helps her become a Kangaroo caregiver for babies at the hospital.
