Rizolli & Isles Season 6 Episode 4 features a unique crime: an art theft from a museum that claims not to be missing any paintings and the murder of the thief. Without the actual painting or any proof of the theft, Maura and Jane have to use their wits--and Maura's knowledge of art--to prove a crime actually occurred and try to catch the bad guys.

The women's quest not only takes them into the upper-class world of museum fundraisers but also forces them to outwit an FBI agent who has been assigned to the case and refuses to share much, if any, of what he knows about the murder victim and his crimes. It seems like every time they turn around, Maura and Jane come face-to-face with the agent, yet he offers them only very limited help and may try to impede the case if they are not careful.

At home, another dilemma faces the detective/medical examiner duo: who is Angela's newest boyfriend? Angela's not telling, and it's driving Jane nuts! Meanwhile, Frankie is charged with the important task of fixing the plumbing in the Dirty Robber's bathroom that his father installed incorrectly before he was born.
