-Sammy leaves his post in gang territory on Hood Day and a drive by shooting occurs. When he and Ben chase down a gang leader who terrorizes his neighborhood, Sammy has to cuff him to a pole in order to help Ben.
-When Sammy returns minutes later, he finds the man stabbed to death while still cuffed to the telephone pole. The neighborhood begins to celebrate.
-Cooper and Tang take a complaint from a released sexual offender who had "child rapist" written across his head in permanent marker. They find his assailant and only give him a warning.
-Later, the sexual offender's house is set on fire and the entire neighborhood comes out to take credit for the arson.
-Lydia and Ruben investigate the murder of a woman who bilked her neighbors out of their homes with phony loans while Ruben stresses over his upcoming speech for his daughter's quinceanera.
-The cops award Ben a dunce cap and the award for Dumbest Cop Alive for hitting a teenage girl while being filmed. The youtube video has over 100,000 hits.
