Leonard tells Penny the story of how the apartment elevator broke through a series of flashbacks while the two of them do each others' nails. In the process we learn why Leonard moved in with Sheldon, how the original roommate agreement was created, and how the gang all became friends. Plus there was some ridiculous hair involved.
