The Hills Recap: "Keep Your Enemies Closer"

Last night on MTV's infamous faux-reality show, Heidi Montag once again confronted bartender Stacie, Stephanie Pratt laid eggs left and right at work, to Lauren Conrad's consternation, and Audrina Patridge finally dumped shower-phobic boyfriend Justin-Bobby.

Certainly a lot to keep track of in LA-LA land.

The Hills Recap: "Playmates Bring the Drama"

Last night, Lauren Conrad observed that the Playboy playmates often bring drama.

This was certainly the case for Audrina Patridge, who incurred the wrath of Jayde Nicole, Playmate of the Year 2008, for her Hawaiian hookup with Brody Jenner.

Oh yeah, and Heidi Montag attempted to catch Spencer Pratt cheating on her by intercepting a text from bartender Staci and confronting them both at a club.

The Hills Recap: Audrina. Brody. Wow.

Last night’s episode of The Hills, with the foreshadowing title of "I Always Had a Little Crush," further solidified the incestuous tendencies of the SoCal crew we know and love.

Only we're not sure how to feel about it.

It all went down when the girls went to Hawaii to surprise Brody, Frankie, Doug, and someone dude called Sleazy T, who had all traveled to Hawaii for a bros' weekend.

What happened next? Well, you can imagine. Or ...

The Hills Recap: "Crazy in Love"

All of the peeps below got in on the action last night on an all-new The Hills, "Crazy in Love." The episode title stems from Audrina Patridge and loser beau Justin-Bobby.

She was in love with him, but he just didn't care. This is apparently news to Audrina, while the MTV show's 3-4 million viewers have known it for like a year and a half.

Elsewhere in SoCal, Stephanie Pratt royally sucked at work, putting Lauren Conrad in an awkward position, while Speidi attempted to undergo couples counseling. Really.

The Hills Preview: Speidi in Counseling

As The Hills' Lo Bosworth recently pointed out, the star of the series is technically Lauren Conrad, but when she quits at the end of this season, Speidi could easily take over.

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, that is.

The gruesome twosome is going at it again tonight - this time in therapy. That's right, Heidi actually dragged Spencer to a fake therapist! You can imagine how that went.

Staged. And also amusing. See below:

The Hills Recap: Stephanie Interviews, Heidi Venomously Spews

Last night, on The Hills, Stephanie tried to land an internship, while Spencer tried to land a hot bartender.

Only one of them was successful.

By the episode's end, Ms. Pratt had been hired for a new gig, while her brother had been told how to save his relationship: go to counseling.

The Hills Recap: "Don't Cry On Your Birthday"

The fifth season of The Hills debuted last night, and the fireworks certainly flew when Heidi Montag - urged by Stephanie Pratt - decided to crash Lauren Conrad's birthday party.

Meanwhile, Spencer Pratt flirted with a cute waitress during a guys' night out, only to have Stephanie's ex-boyfriend Cameron rat him out via text. A pretty serious fist fight ensued.

All in all, a solid start to LC's swan song season of the reality TV staple.

The Hills Sneak Preview: Season Five Premiere

The Hills returns with the first episode of its fifth (and Lauren Conrad's final) season this evening on MTV and from the looks of it, the drama is not in short supply.

First, Lauren and Heidi Montag apparently patch things up, at least to a point. But it looks as though she doesn't invite her to her birthday party, making Heidi sad.

Useless instigator Stephanie Pratt convinces Heidi to go anyway, as her guest, and as they prepare to go, Spencer inquires what their "girls night out" consists of.

Suffice it to say, when Spencer learns his mortal enemy will be present during their evening festivities, he is far from pleased, and his response is pretty priceless:

The Hills Spoilers, Pictures From New Season

The lovely Lauren Conrad, 23, will be saying goodbye to The Hills after its upcoming fifth season - which premieres Monday, April 6 - ends its 10-episode run on MTV.

"I actually thought last season was going to be my last," LC said. "[But] the producers wanted to hopefully give the show some sort of closure and needed one more."

Lauren says she's taking back seat in her final episodes, though. Why? "I didn't have all that much conflict in my life," she says. "I think I only cry in one episode."
