LaRoche is placed in charge of the CBI this week and his first act of business is to name Cho the new team leader.
-Micah Newton, a doctor is murdered by a blow to the head at a golf driving range. His radiation badge from the hospital registers high levels of radiation exposure yet his body does not.
-Lisbon insults Agent La Roche before finding out that he is taking over for Hightower. La Roche puts Cho in charge of her team.
-Turns out Dr. Newton’s assistant Francine was taking his ID badge to sneak into the Radiation Lab to steal cesium 137 to sell on black market. The substance could have been used to make a dirty bomb.
-La Roche is impressed with the team and puts Lisbon back in charge. He admits he was messing with her but he won’t tolerate any disrespect.
-Jane uncovers that the anesthesiologist, Dr. Giddrie is stealing pain medication and replacing it with water, causing the patients to be in severe pain. Dr. Newton figured out what she was doing and threatened to turn her in so she killed him.

And I thought we were done with LaRoche. I guess Jane enjoys the mental sparring with him and it will allow him to keep looking for RJ clues, but I will miss Hightower. Why was there need of team leader when Lisbon is there?
