On the season premiere...

- Peter Russo, chauffer of Harvey Dublin, has been shot to death and Harvey Dublin is missing.

- Jane decides he needs a break from this case but Lisbon tricks him into helping with the investigation.

- Even with a  ransom demand for Dublin’s safe return, Jane believes he is also dead and leaks a story about Dublin having a missing diamond.

- Rigsby and VanPelt find a witness who confirms that Dublin was shot in the head and killed but the killer took the body with him.

- The team tails Peter Russo’s teenage daughter’s stepfather.  The stepfather tries to dig up Dublin’s body in search of the diamond. He had slapped his stepdaughter during an argument.  When Russo found out he beat him in front of his wife and the stepdaughter.  Killing Russo was revenge for the humiliation he suffered.  He killed Dublin to make it look like Russo’s death was simply a tragic accident linked to Dublin’s kidnapping.
