Figuring out that their serial killer is angered by fake psychics, Patrick Jane does a media tour playing the role of a psychic helping the police on the case. The plan backfires when the killer, now known as Lazarus, abducts Jane. Jane quickly figures out that Lazarus is trying to communicate with his dead father, whose body he keeps int he basement. Turns out the father was also a serial killer and Lazarus thinks his father is telling him to kill people from the grave.

Wiley figures out that Lazarus is pulling blood from his victims in order to use it in an occult bonding spell with the dead. His research and leads them to a secret website which helps them track down a chat group that included Lazarus.

When Lisbon gets Lazarus, aka Joseph Keller's address, she runs to the house as Cho gets the man's work address.
Jane sets up Lazarus with a gas leak which makes the house explode. Teresa is terrified as Jane barely makes it out of the burning house. Everyone believes that Lazarus died in the explosion.
