Wanted fugituve Erika Flynn (guest star Morena Baccarrin) shows back up when the CIA find her in Beirut. The offer her a deal, help them capture her boyfriend and the terrorist he works with and she'll get immunity. She says she'll do it under one condition, that she gets to work with Patrick Jane.

Much to Jane's chagrin, he and Lisbon head to Beirut to meet with Erika who quickly deduces that they are now a couple. Jane is called upon to be a courier and must memorize a sequence of 81 random numbers. The interview process for the job has him trying to remember a string of words while the terrorists try to drown him in a tub. Jane passes the test.
Erika does her best to put doubts in Teresa's mind as she hints at a past romantic relationship between she and Jane. It leads to a conversation that has Lisbon asking about both Erika and Loralei. Jane says he'll discuss Loralei if Teresa will tell him all about her and Walter Mashburn. She decides it's good to leave the past in the past.
