In the season premiere of The Mindy Project, we begin with the ultimate review of Danny and Mindy’s relationship, together and apart, and how they ended up together. Danny and Mindy give perspectives of their relationship, including how Mindy had to change for her relationship.

For Peter, he is very happy is his new relationship and goes to Danny for advice about how to please his girlfriend. Danny gets frustrated on how Mindy is spreading details about their relationship and Mindy tries to promise not to spread gossip.

Also, happening at Shulman & Associates, Jeremy is planning a charity event with Lauren, Peter’s girlfriend, and later Danny sees that Jeremy is flirting with Lauren in his office. He reports the gossip to Mindy, who must keep it to herself, while simultaneously trying to hide the secret of the stripper thong she found in Danny’s drawer.

Mindy spreads what she knows to Morgan and discovers that the stripper was Danny, or “Diamond Dan,” as he was referred. Later, at the charity event, both secrets Mindy was keeping are spread through the party. Peter finds out that Lauren kissed Jeremy and a fight ensues between the guys and Jeremy says that he is going to fight for Lauren.

Mindy doesn’t like all of the secrets that Danny has and by episodes end, Danny is revealing secrets to Mindy and shows off his “Diamond Dan” moves.
