-Ryan hopes to ask Lindsay to the winter dance and Seth hopes to go with Alex but both are turned down.
-Julie finds Marissa in bed with DJ and fires him. Marissa says she'll still see him but tells DJ they shouldn't attend the dance.
-Marissa asks Ryan if they can go to the dance as friends and he says yes, just as Lindsay was reconsidering.
-Zach sees Summer talking to Seth and gets jealous. He tells her she should take Seth to the dance.
-Seth quits his job in the hopes that playing it cool will win him Alex. It doesn't.
-Ryan, Marissa, Seth, and Summer all end up at the dance together as friends, just like the old days.
-Sandy confronts city councilwoman Renee Wheeler about Caleb. She admits he wasn't bribing her, they had an affair but she won't go to the DA.
