As the citizens enjoy a little bar night revelry following a town meeting, many Springfield residents mock the strange friendship between Moe and his bar rag. The bar rag (voiced by Jeremy Irons) narrates his sad, thousand year history to the viewers. From auspicious beginnings as a medieval tapestry woven from demon wool in Southern France to being the security rag of Moe (a gift from his Yeti father), the bar rag laments his fall from glory. Moe, realizing he actually has living friends like the Simpsons, discards the rag, but Santa's Little Helper claims the cloth as his beloved toy. Meanwhile, Milhouse is fed up with Bart's constant insults and ends their friendship. However, Bart gets Milhouse's forgiveness by apologizing and taking a punch from Drederick Tatum.
