You Don't Have to Live Like a Referee
Recap
During a school essay contest, Martin Prince picks the same hero, Marie Curie, as Lisa for his speech. Lisa scrambles to pick a new topic and decides to call her father her hero. Her passionate speech about how he red-carded her when she was taking dives during a soccer game catches the attention of a representative from the WFF, and Homer is offered a position as referee for the World Cup.
He proves to be incredibly incorruptible despite all the bribes offered to him, until he finds out that he wasn't Lisa's first choice for the essay. Homer takes a bribe to fix the final game of the World Cup, but Lisa tells him that she admires how he's lived up to the ideal she set for him. He doesn't help Brazil win, and the gangsters who paid him try to kill him. Luckily, Lisa switched seats with the gangsters mother on their flight to Brazil, so she tells her son to let them go.
