Lisa enters a Reading Digest competition and is set to Washington for the finals.  While there, she sees a corrupt government official taking a bribe, destroying her faith in the government and her original essay topic.  In in her final essay, she condemns the government, gets the official arrested, and restores her faith even if it cost her victory.
