When Bart's birthday party turns into a disaster, he uses his AM radio gift to play pranks on the townspeople. Eventually he uses it to pretend to be a boy stuck in a well, and the whole town comes to his aid. However, when he realizes the radio says "property of Bart Simpson" on it, he goes into the well to retrieve it, only to get stuck himself. When the town realizes it was a prank, they leave him in there, and it's up to Homer to save him.
