After a bad episode of Itchy & Scratchy, Bart and Lisa write their own episode, but it's rejected due to their age. The kids resubmit it under Grampa's name, and it's accepted and he gets a job. When one of his episodes is given an award, he sees the show for the first time and is horrified. Meanwhile, Homer and Marge to go their high school reunion and it's revealed Homer never graduated because of a missing science credit. Homer goes to night school to make up the missing class.
