As The Young and The Restless begins, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) watch news coverage of Jack's (Peter Bergman) resignation speech.

Jack and Sharon (Sharon Case) come home after the press conference and gear up to tell Noah the bad news. Sharon is still angry, and is not yet ready to let Jack off the hook.

Gloria (Judith Chapman) is considering Jeffrey's (Ted Shackelford) marriage proposal. He threatens that if she doesn't accept, he's going to have her locked up in prison.

Colleen (Tammin Sursok) tells Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Amber (Adrienne Frantz) that their to-go order will be coming up soon.

Lily (Christel Khalil) is entering the Faces of Jabot contest on her laptop, but it freezes on her, so Daniel helps her with her computer.

Kevin (Greg Rikaart) goes over to Chancellor to crow with about Jack's humiliation, but Gloria is too busy fretting over Jeffrey's proposal.

The time has come for Jack to face the music. Noah comes in, and Sharon and Jack prep him to hear bad news. Noah immediately thinks that someone died.

Gloria and Kevin discuss Jeffrey's blackmail. They are afraid that the moment she marries him, he's going to turn her in. Nick calls Sharon to see how she and Noah are doing.

Lily is worrying a lot about her essay. Colleen suggests that she focus on her accomplishments. Cane (Daniel Goddard) comes by to see what's up with them. He promises he'll vote for her six or seven times.

Colleen finds Jack at the club and gives him a hug. Phyllis comes over and tells him she's not going to judge him, but asks him to be straight with her about rewriting his father's will. Once again, Jack sidesteps her.

Kevin reports to Gloria that the Faces of Jabot contest is swamped. Gloria is still worried about Jeffrey, so Kevin suggests that she play hardbal.

Sharon looks nostalgically through the Christmas ornaments and flashbacks to Noah's first Christmas. Sharon struggles with whether she should leave Jack.

Amber is all dressed up like whorish Maryna, and asks Daniel to shoot her video. He refuses. Amber gets on the phone to order a digital camera.

Phyllis tells Nick she feels responsible for Jack's resignation. Gloria tells Kevin that she has no choice now but to marry Jeffrey.
