Another week begins on The Young and the Restless.

Brad (Don Diamont) has his eye on Sharon (Sharon Case). Sharon has decided to stay with Jack (Peter Bergman) and give him another chance.

But Brad continues to make it clear that he does not approve of her choice.  In the conference room, with the door locked, he finally puts lays it all out there and tells her how he feels about her and kisses her.

Daniel (Michael Graziadei), who has had his eye on the assistant DA Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) for the past month or two, decides to do something about it. He asks her to have a casual dinner of turkey sandwiches.

• Amber (Adrienne Frantz) teases Daniel for his crush on Heather.
• She also looks like she's coming up with a plan to cheat in the Faces of Jabot contest.

Kevin (Greg Rikaart) desperately needs Jana (Emily O'Brien) to be released from prison. He knows she is ready to accept his marriage proposal and all he needs know is to spring her from the big house.

So... what will he do?

Victor's (Eric Braeden) involvement in the death of Ji Min Kim is really taking a toll on Nick (Joshua Morrow). Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) goes over to Jack's to ask him whether he thinks Victor is really guilty.

Gloria (Judith Chapman) is still being blackmailed by Jeffrey Bardwell (Ted Shackelford). She's trying to keep this a secret from Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracey Bregman), and is setting up a family dinner.

Things go awry, however, when Michael snoops out that Gloria wrote Jeffrey a check for $50,000, and demands to know what that was for.

At the dinner, Jeffrey gets up and finally - finally! - delivers the huge, huge news.

He announces their engagement, to the consternation of all the Fishers.
