Poor Sam is being held down by Eggs and about to be killed at Maryann's orgy when Andy stumbles in and fires a gun, giving Sam a chance to retreat.  While running away, Maryann chases after him with her claws ready to go, and Sam turns into an owl to escape.  Poor, confused Andy can't seem to get a response out of the "zombies."  He goes to his brother, Terry, and sees him there with Arlene and goes to grab him when Terry breaks his arm.

Sam heads into the bar where he grabs his gun and heads off after Daphne.    He confronts Daphe who admits that Maryann is a Maenad that can control people, except supernaturals.  Supernaturals have to come to her on their own terms.. like Daphne, who she's showed love to.  She says that Maryann is going after Sam because he's the one that got away and even if he gives himself to her, she will still harass Bon Temps.  At the end of the episode, Maryann controls Eggs and has him kill Daphne.

The rest of the members of the orgy, including Tara, Eggs, and Arlene can't seem to remember anything that happened and just blacked out for the night.  Andy heads into Merlotte's with a broken arm to confront Terry, and the whole bar ridicules him as a drunk, even though all of them were there.

Meanwhile, Sookie and Hugo are still being held prisoner a tthe Fellowship of the Sun, where they're getting interviewed by Steve.  Hugo reveals that Sookie's last name is Stackhouse, and Steve immediately heads after Jason.  Jason, meanwhile, has just finished up consummating his relationship with Sarah, and she's already talking about confessing all to Steve.  Jason takes off with his bags to leave the compound when he runs into Steve and Gabe, who grab him into their truck.  Steve leaves Gabe and Jason out in the woods where Gabe starts to kick Jason's butt until Gabe makes the mistake of insulting Sookie.  Jason then whoops his butt and takes off running until eventually at nightfall Sarah catches up with him... and shoots him.

Back in Sookie's cell, she finds out that Hugo was actually the traitor working for the Fellowship.  Still unable to reach Bill, Sookie sends the message to Barry to go tell him that Godric is down in the basement and they're still trapped there.  Gabe eventually comes back to their cell to take his anger from Jason out on Sookie.  Rather than letting Hugo go free, he hits him and calls him a fangbanger and goes to rape Sookie.  Back in Dallas, Eric overhears Barry's message to Bill, who's still being held prisoner by Lorena, and comes rushing to save Sookie.  However, it's actually Godric that comes in and rescues her!

In other exciting Dallas news, Hoyt confesses to Jessica that he's still a virgin and she tells him she wants to be his first... but not that morning... she needs to rest.  That night she awakes to the room decorated with flowers and candles and they get it on.

The episode's title, Release Me, comes from Bill trying to escape from Lorena the whole episode.  It's revealed through flashbacks he had to do this previously when she released him as his maker.
