On last night's episode of True Blood, we had three separate people looking to be released -- Sam trying to escape from Maryann, Sookie from Steve Newlin, and Bill from Lorena.

So which of our three supernatural prisoners were able to escape.  Well you're going to have to read our "Release Me" recap to find out of course!

No major shocks from HBO at this week;s Television Critics Association press tour.

The cable network officially announced that True Blood, Entourage and Hung have been picked up for another season. The former two shows have been huge hits for the channel, while the latter has pulled in surprisingly strong numbers, despite mixed reviews.

Considering its constantly improving ratings, certainly no surprise that True Blood is coming back. But Michael Lombardo, HBO's president of programming, explained to the crowd anyway:

"One of the reasons we brought [True Blood] back as soon as we did was it always felt like a summer show. The hope and expectation is to try to bring it back next summer as well."

Regarding Hung, executive producer Dmitry Lipkin said:

"We're not interested in a sex farce. We're interested in exploring the real repercussionss of what it would be like for a very unlikely pimp and a very unlikely ho to come together and to try to do this, and the emotional price that one may pay for it."

While it may not reveal any juicy True Blood spoilers, Michael Ausiello of EW did a great interview with True Blood's Michelle Forbes and Deborah Ann Woll at Comic Con.

In the interview, the two talented actresses describe how much they enjoy playing the roles and how much the love the whole cast.

It's really an entertaining intervie, so be sure and watch, and pay close attention to what Deborah says at the end and then discuss in our True Blood forum.

New Moon that.

It's all Sam Trammell hears these days. The actor, who plays Sam Merlotte on True Blood, says the constant talks of that movie franchise is "ridiculous," but he told E! News:

"Everywhere I go I get asked [if I've seen Twilight]. I'm going to read all the books and watch the movie," he said.

Trammell also said he'd welcome Kristen Stewart on True Blood, as the actress that plays Bella in the Twilight Saga could sink her teeth into a different role.

"I really loved her in Adventureland," he said. "I'd love her to come on. She could be a little vampire or a victim."

As for his own show, and what's actually set to take place, Trammell teased:

"I'll tell you that starting at episode six, it's utter mayhem. I turn into the smallest possible thing I can turn into and a very big thing as well."

When we left Bon Temps on Sunday's True Blood, we were left hanging from a major cliff as Daphne betrayed Sam and brought him to his almost certain death at the hands of Maryann.  So what do we have forward to looking to when the show returns this weekend with a new episode, "Release Me?"

Well according to HBO's official logline, you can expect:

Betrayed by Daphne, Sam finds himself in an unenviable predicament at the hands of Maryann and her wild-eyed minions. Imprisoned with Hugo in the F.O.T.S. church, Sookie uses her telepathic powers to reach out to Bill, who’s being detained at the hotel by a stubbornly obsessive Lorena. After crossing a line with the Newlins, a fearful Jason tries to sever his ties with the Fellowship of the Sun, but gets plenty of resistance from Steve and his enforcer Gabe.

And no, don't worry, there's a 0% shot Sam actually dies.  He's in next week's logline as well.  Coming soon to a TV Fanatic site near you.

Wow.  Last night's episode of True Blood really put the ball in motion for this season to be even more amazing than it's already been.

We saw Sookie go undercover to the Fellowship of the Sun where she got caught, Daphne's true form be revealed, and an extremely disturbing flashback of Bill.

It's no surprise, but it's still exciting and worth passing along:

True Blood has been confirmed for a third season.

At the show's Comic-Con panel last week, executive producer Alan Ball told fans of the wildly popular HBO series that the show will be back for at least one more season (and likely many more, considering author Charlaine Harris has agreed to pen three more novels in her book franchise).

From there, as reported by Entertainment Weekly, stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard chimed in. They said their characters' love triangle will grow more intense in the second half of the current season, as Moyer added Bill will be "fighting harder" for Sookie’s affection.

As for major theme for the second half of the season, the producer initially answered with one word: war.

Ball also said he’s excited to add werewolves and Mississippi vampires from Harris’ books into various storylines next season.

Asked about Bubba, a fan favorite from the books, Ball said there are no plans to include him. Yet.

While True Blood fans may not be able to handle this spoiler news, it appears that television's best pairing of a human and vampire won't last forever.  (Calm down, Twilight's a movie people!)

Stephen Moyer (Bill) explains the show's future actions by saying, "You can't watch two characters be happy in love for 12 episodes."

Moyer continues, "That would be extremely dull. [A separation is] going to happen."

After last week's episode of True Blood, we learned that Sookie agreed to go on the dangerous undercover mission of infiltrating the Fellowship of the Sun church.  Now, thanks to the official logline from next week's episode, "Hard-Hearted Hannah" we have a few more details.

Apparently, Sookie will be going with Hugo, the human boyfriend of Isabel, one of Godric's lieutenants.  Meanwhile you can expect a lot of fun to happen to Bill while he stays in Dallas and for the rest of the gang in Bon Temps.

On last night's True Blood, we met up with Bill and Sookie still in Dallas.  Now our favorite mixed couple had to finally meet with Godric's people to try and find out how their Sheriff went missing.

Meanwhile, Jason continued his intense training while growing closer to the Newlins, Maryann asked Tara if she could move in with Tara, and Sam discovered something very interesting about Daphne.
