Despite moving in with Lindsey, Alan continues to use Charlie's house as his love shack with Melissa.  However, when Melissa wants to move in to Charlie's house with Alan, he decides to break up with her.  Alan almost comes clean to Lyndsey, but instead keeps up the lie.

Melissa finds out the truth from Charlie by kicking him in the balls and as she goes to confront Alan at Lyndsey's, Alan accidentally sets the place on fire with her grandfather's pipe and suddenly everyone shows up at Charlie's.
