On this episode, the Blooms were tasked to bring in a North Korean scientist named Shin Won who wanted to defect to the U.S. and had a prototype of some super advanced weaponized matter manipulating device.

Shin Won refused to hand over the device unless the U.S. extracted his daughter from North Korea.  Steven and Samantha defied Shaw's orders and pursued the extraction, and became entangled with French mercenaries in the process.

Samantha missed Lizzie's milestone AA ceremony.
