We offer an array of options, all of which will allow you to learn more about Harbard, the wanderer, and his hold over the women on Kattegat. In Wessex, Kwenthrith begins her reign with a distasteful turn of events. Little Ivar was suffering terribly and once again the mysterious Harbard took the pain away. Siggy remained distrustful of the man, but she recognized his gifts. She asked Harbard if he was a God, which he denied. Poruun's face was severely scarred in battle, and she worried Bjorn will no longer want to marry her. While it appears he still loves her, their fate remains uncertain. Floki continues to resent Ragnar fighting for the English, but Rollo began talking of alliances. He appears to see the bigger picture finally, and sounds much more like Ragnar. Floki can't help but plant a few seeds of distrust, he believes they are betraying their Gods. Back in Mercia, Ragnar warns Kwenthrith that her brother is weak. "He is just a puppet, and he will be your downfall" Ragnar warns her. Kwentrith is smart, and doesn't trust Ecbert. She attempts to forge an alliance with Ragnar, which is a smart move. Meanwhile, our ex-monk made love to Princess Judith and they professed their love for one another. Lagertha, on the other hand, was enjoying her "friends with benefits" relationship with King Ecbert, but there's no love there. Lagertha understands that Ecbert cares about himself above all else. She's determined to head back home and take care of her people. The victorious Viking and English warriors returned and were treated to a huge celebration. Only Floki refuse to take part in the festivities. King Ecbert was not pleased Athelstan planned to leave, so he threatened his decision. Ragnar told the ex-monk he was free to choose his future. Ragnar questioned what Ecbert's plans for Mercia were. He told the English king that ultimately he will rule, for he gave them the crown. "Do you think you’re a good man?" Ragnar asked Ecbert. The king said he believed he was, however, they both agreed they are corrupt as well. While giving her thanks and talking of her love for her brother, Kwentrith poisoned him proclaiming herself the only ruler of Mercia. Everyone present spilled their cup of wine, just to be safe. In Scandinavia, Kalf met with none other than King Horik's son, Erlendur and Jarl Borg’s former wife. An anti-Lothbrok alliance began to take shape. In Kattegat, while Aslaug gave herself over to Harbard, her boys ran out into the middle of a frozen lake. Siggy chased after them, ultimately the ice cracked but she saved their lives. Siggy had a vision of her deceased daughter and chose to let go and went under. Harbard is present, and later tells Aslaug and Helga that Siggy is finally happy in Valhalla with her family. "Who are you?" Helga asks. "Just a wanderer" he replies and vanishes.
