Recap

This week Neal and Peter were charged with recovering evidence that would exonerate the son of an American diplomat accused of smuggling a rare ruby out of the country, a plot pinned on him due to the son’s interest in documenting democracy in the region, which was threatening to Burmese officials.

The team infiltrates the world of high-end jewelry in order to track down a well known smuggler, who they think will help them free the young American.

When their source makes a deal of his own, Wilson enlists Caffrey’s help to steal back the external hard drive containing the information that could help exonerate his son. The plan hinges on Mozzie’s astute knowledge of chemistry, which result in a down to the wire effort to force the Burmese officials to drop the contents of their diplomatic pouch onto American soil for the purpose of acquisition.

Though Peter warned Neal not to go through with it, Peter finds himself helping to aid the plan’s success, which Neal seemingly rewards by revealing that his father wasn’t just a cop, but a dirty one, a trait which Neal believes he might possess as well.
