Amanda accidentally bumps into Ryan with Jenna at the beach. Ryan wants a better meeting for his girlfriend and his friend so he puts together a dinner party.
Wilfred shows up to the double date with his own companion, an alcoholic Bear. This obviously causes problems, but so does the fact that Amanda isn't a dog person. Her and Jenna get into it over dogs, but eventually work things out.
