Judgment's Coming
Recap
With just two days to go before Judgment Day, this week's Smackdown hyped up a series of matches and feuds. Here's a rundown of its major developments...
- John Morrison and C.M. Punk defeated Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas.
Chris Jericho came out and gave a great promo. He called the fans hypocrites and said he runs the show. Edge interrupted him and said Smackdown is HIS show. This led to General manager Teddy Long making an Edge vs. Jericho match.
- Jeff Hardy beat Ricky Ortiz. Hardy won win the Swanton.
- Gail Kim and Melina defeated Michelle McCool and Alicia Fox. A terrible Divas match. Let's move on.
- Dolph Ziggler beat Jimmy Wang Yang. After the match, The Great Khali came out and threw Ziggler to ringside. Seriously. Why is he still on our TV?!?
- R-Truth defeated Mike Knox
Both announcers entered the ring as Rey Mysterio cut a promo on the big screen. The announcers pushed the Judgment Day pay-per-view card.
- Edge defeated Chris Jericho by DQ in a non-title match. Jeff Hardy attacked Edge and then Y2J. CM Punk then tried to cash in his briefcase, while Umaga attacked him.
Edge and Jeff fought into the crowd. Punk and Umaga also took their brawl into the crowd. Rey and Jericho fought on the ramp to close the show.
