Aaron Stanford (Nikita, X-Men 2 and 3) stars as James Cole, a time traveler from post-apocalyptic 2043 where a deadly plague annihilated 93.6% of the human race.

Amanda Schull (Center Stage, Suits, Pretty Little Liars) stars as Dr. Cassandra Railly, a virologist kidnapped by Cole whose future message names him as the only person that can stop the plague from killing billions.

Emily Hampshire (Cosmopolis, The Returned) portrays Jennifer Goines, the character originally played by Brad Pitt in the 1995 film. Though seemingly unstable and committed to a high-security psych ward, Jennifer helps Cole track down the virus her father created. The very same one that causes the plague in 2043.

Kirk Acevedo (Fringe, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) plays Ramse, Cole's best friend. He is extremely distrustful and protective of Cole which leads to a rift at the Temporal Facility housing the time machine.

Noah Bean (Nikita, Gang Related, Damages) plays Aaron Marker, an up and coming politician and Dr. Railly's ex. When Cassandra claims she was kidnapped by a time-traveler, Aaron refuses to believe her. This leads to their inevitable break up.

Barbara Sukowa plays Jones, a former physicist who creates the time machine hoping to eradicate the plague saving billions of lives. Jones gives Cole his mission sending him back in time to locate and kill those responsible for creating the virus.

Tom Noonan (The Blacklist, Hell on Wheels) is the Pallid Man, whose mission it is to stop Cole and Railly from unlocking the secrets of the 12 Monkeys.

Though Cole and Railly's first meeting is a rocky one, the brilliant young doctor is soon drawn into his mission to help prevent the viral outbreak.

Cole and Ramse survived the plague and lived as a scavengers during the apocalypse. Though he did what was necessary to survive, Cole's life as a Scav haunts him.

Ramse is the yin to Cole's yang, the two are more like brothers than friends. While Cole seeks redemption for his past, Ramse fully embraces it. He is wiser than his years and much more in tune with human nature.

Cole prepares to go back in time to alter the fate of mankind. His first trip unites him with Dr. Cassandra Railly. Naturally his story is a wild one, but he manages to pique her interest.

Ramse sees his friend off and waits patiently in 2043 for Cole to return with news of his mission. Does he achieve his objective?

The second time Cole and Cassandra meet she's forced to tend to the wounded time traveler. Who shot him?

Now convinced Cole's not a compete lunatic and truly from 2043, the good Doctor agrees to help him.

Our heroes track down their main suspect to a fundraiser where Cassandra bumps into her ex, Aaron. Needless to say, their reunion is quite awkward.

Though Cassandra moved on, Aaron is still very much in love with her. Meeting Cole came as total shock and Aaron's not likely to trust the guy any time soon.

Cole makes his way across the room to confront his target. Will he take the man out in front of the party-goers?
