There have been many times Lethal Weapon has had our hearts in its hands, and we've shared 12 of those times with you below, in no particular order.

1. Miranda Dies
We get our first heartbreak when Riggs learns about Miranda after he arrives at the hospital with flowers thinking he was going to be welcoming his newborn son. Instead, he receives the horrible news. His heartbreak was our heartbreak.
2. Ever Held One of These?
Roger made a horrible faux pax at Riggs' first dinner with the Murtaughs. He didn't know about Miranda and felt like an ass. When Riggs' went upstairs to compliment him on his family, Roger wanted to share what he had with Riggs by having him hold baby Harper. It was one of the most heartwarming moments of the entire series.
3. RJ Graduates
It was a little touchy on whether Murtaugh was going to make it to RJ's graduation. He was being held captive and almost died, but he got out of the situation and made it to one of his son's most important days.
4. You're Family
With all the trouble that Riggs has gotten Murtaugh into, it would be easy for Trish to push Martin away. Instead, she welcomed him with open arms. On Christmas, she took her family to Riggs' place to celebrate with him so he wouldn't be alone. Who didn't shed a tear when she called Martin family?
5. I'm Sorry, Martin
Riggs avoided Ronnie nearly all season. He was a painful reminder of Miranda, but he had to face him at some point. He didn't expect to learn that Ronnie was aware of the truth behind Miranda's death. Not only was Riggs shocked, he was hurt as well. How could a father do that to his own daughter?
6. Feeding Time
Martin showed up just in time as Trish was getting ready for work. He was the third hand she needed at the time. Harper didn't take the applesauce so Riggs decided to try it himself, and before we knew it, he had finished off the bowl. Trish could have been angry, but she thought his interaction with Harper was as adorable as we did.
7. Are you Crazy?
Trish was worried about all the excitement happening in Murtaugh's life because of Riggs, but she also knew how alive her husband felt by being partnered with Riggs. Even though Riggs tries to come across as crazy, she knows he's not. She made him promise to keep Roger safe, and it's a promise he intends to keep. Trish and Riggs have a very special understand and everything about their relationship warms our heart.
8. Special Bond
Riggs showed his soft side when he took Ethan under his wing. He didn't want to get close to the boy but couldn't help himself. We loved every moment these two were together from their Cheeto-playing game in the cafeteria to their fist bump at the end of the hour.
9. Love you too, Dad
When Roger found out Riane had posted racy pictures of herself on social media, he lost it. She might have been embarrassed by his freak out, but she knows how much her dad loves her even if he has a hard time verbalizing it. We loved this interaction between them. He loves his family and so do we.
10. The Ring
Riggs almost lost his life when his car was pushed into the bay, but he also lost his wedding ring as he was swimming back to the surface. He almost went after it, but as difficult as it was, he let it go. We took it as hard as he did.
11. On the Ledge
After Riggs and Murtaugh saved Cahill's life, she told him she couldn't see him as a patient anymore. It happened just when he was starting to feel comfortable and open up to her. He wasn't having any of it and threatened to jump off the ledge unless she changed her mind. It was a heartwarming moment that showed how important Dr. Cahill had become in Riggs' life.
12. At the Barbershop
Roger took Riggs to his old neighborhood for a haircut. Both were having a great time with Roger's buddies. When Roger told his friend to give Riggs the special rate because he was family, it wasn't so much Roger's words that made us shed tears, but Riggs' reaction that did.
