Chicago PD Midseason Report Card: Best Episode, Worst Advice, and More!

at .  Updated at .

While we anxiously await the return of Chicago PD Season 3, we thought we would take a look at what's happened so far.

We've seen a favorite couple reunite, the tragic death of a little boy, and a family torn apart.

Check out our report card for the best and worst episodes, the biggest MVP moment, the worst advice, and more!

Then be sure to hit the comments and let us know if you agree!

1. Best Episode

This has been a solid season so far with several great episodes, but we're giving the nod to Chicago PD Season 3 Episode 7 for not being at all what we expected. Instead of focusing on a school shooting, the Intelligence team uncovered a pedophile coach that had been abusing kids. Halstead really shined in this episode as he connected with one of the coach's victims and was able to relate to him.

2. Worst Episode

We haven't hated any of the episodes so far, but our least favorite goes to Chicago PD Season 3 Episode 8. The case involving an NSA informant and missing encrypted government chips just wasn't that interesting, nor was the side story involving Atwater pulling favors for the police captain's delinquent son.

3. Best Covert Operation

While Chicago PD Season 3 Episode 8 was not our favorite episode, we absolutely loved Burgess on a mission to find out Platt's ring size. Her not-so-subtle move with the lotion was hilarious, and definitely seemed to confuse Platt. Still, the mission was a success!

4. Worst Ultimatum

What was the deal with Olinsky's wife Meredith being so selfish and unsupportive? She demanded that Al get a paternity test and kicked him out of the house when he admitted to tearing up the results. We understand that this is not an easy situation for her, but she could at least make an effort to meet Michelle instead of being so cruel.

5. Biggest MVP Moment

Mouse came through in a big way when he managed to talk down and disarm a distraught father who's daughter was missing. While his methods were wrong, Mouse sympathized with his motive. Not only did Mouse diffuse the situation without anyone getting hurt, but he also removed the bullets from the gun so that the man's charges would be reduced. The rest of the team found the girl, but Mouse ensured she would return home with her father.

6. Storyline We're Glad is Over

Lindsay began the season on a downword spiral into drugs and alcohol that could have lasted a lot longer than it did. Thankfully, by the end of Chicago PD Season 3 Episode 1, Lindsay was back on the wagon and asking Voight for her job back. While it may have been more realistic for it to have taken more time for Lindsay to make her way back, we were okay with her rejoining Intelligence sooner rather than later.

7. Best Use of a New Couch

Lindsay and Halstead finally got back together on Chicago PD Season 3 Episode 5 after Halstead helped her move a new couch into her apartment. It didn't take long at all before the two were breaking it in!

8. Worst Advice

When Burgess questions Ruzek's commitment to marriage, Roman suggests she give him a little "test." He tells her to suggest pushing the wedding date back one year and see how he reacts. If he fights it, she'll know he really wants to get married. Well, the test doesn't work out the way Burgess hoped, but the advice was terrible in the first place. Instead of silly ploys like this, Burgess needs to be upfront about her fears and have an honest conversation with her fiance.

9. The Race to the Altar

Who will get married first? Platt knows Mouch is close to popping the question and bets Burgess that she'll get married first, even though Burgess and Ruzek have been engaged longer. With the unsteadiness surrounding Burgess and Ruzek's relationship, our bets are on Platt and Mouch.

10. (Bitter)sweetest Moment

It was both sweet and heartbreaking when Roman made one dying boy's dream come true. Unfortunately Andrew was too sick to receive Roman's bone marrow, so instead Roman and Platt gave him a day to remember by bringing him to the station and making him an honorary captain for a day. Platt calling him "sir" was absolutely adorable.

11. Biggest Mistake

Chicago PD Season 3 Episode 9 left us with a pretty major cliffhanger. Roman shot and killed an unarmed man, thinking he had a gun. Burgess immediately calls Voight, but will he be able to fix this mess? We'll have to wait to find out!

But I wanted it. Wanted to be something different than what I was, knew I could. See, I don't people have to end up anywhere near where they started.

Yo, Al, don't you got some sort of beef with Father McSorley?
