Once Upon a Time Cast: Before They Were Stars

Check out the stars from Once Upon a Time before they became fairy tale heroes and villains on the ABC hit show.

1. Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan)

Jennifer's been on some of our favorite TV shows over the years. She was Melanie Shea Thompson on Dawson's Creek to Dr. Allison Cameron on House M.D. But the most memorable may be as Ted's girlfriend, Zoey Pierson, on How I Met Your Mother.

2. Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White/Mary Margaret)

This gorgeous actress who eventually landed the iconic role of Snow White once played Maya in the TV movie Porn 'n Chicken! If you missed that you may have caught her as Diane Snyder on Ed and Margene Heffman on Big Love. She was once even the voice of a mermaid on SpongeBob SquarePants.

3. Josh Dallas (Prince Charming/David)

Josh once played Node 2 on Doctor Who, Ben Bass on Hawaii Five-0 and Kip Woodman on CSI before becoming the one and only Prince Charming on Once Upon a Time.

4. Lana Parrilla (The Evil Queen/Regina Mills)

We've loved Lana in everything we've seen he in and that's been qutie a bit. From her role as Angie on Spin City to guest spots on JAG, The Shield, Lost, and Medium. You could also catch her as Officer Janet Grafton on NYPD Blue, Sarah Gavin on 24, or on the one season wonders Swingtown, Windfall, and Miami Medical.

5. Jared Gilmore (Henry MIlls)

Would you believe that Jared played a little Bill O'Reilly on Talkshow with Spike Feresten? He also had a guest role on Wilfred as a young Ryan, Kenneth on Men of a Certain Age, and he was Bobby Draper on Mad Men.

6. Robert Carlyle (Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold)

Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Robert has graced TV screens on both sides of the pond. He's played both Macbeth and Adolf Hitler on TV. He was Carl Benton on the TV movie 24: Redemption and he jumped into the sci-fi world as Dr. Nicholas Rush on SGU Stargate Universe before spinning gold on Once Upon a Time.

7. Emilie de Ravin (Belle)

Emilie grew up in Victoria, Australia where a ballet career morphed into acting. She was the Demon Curupira on BeastMaster, Tess Harding on Roswell and did guest appearances in NCIS and CSI: Miami. But most fans probably remember her as Claire Littleton on Lost.

8. Colin O'Donoghue (Captain Hook)

Colin was born and raised in County Louth, Ireland so he was mostly seen on TV across the pond such Love Is the Drug, Proof, Fair City, and The Clinic. He also played Duke Philip of Bavaria on The Tudors before becoming our favorite pirate on Once Upon a Time.
