Chris Lowell News

Christopher "Chris" Lowell was born October 17, 1984 in Atlanta, Ga., where he attended the Atlanta International School and became interested in theatre and filmmaking.

After being discovered and going through his first major audition, Lowell landed a role on the ABC drama, "Life As We Know It," still perhaps his most notable role to date.

Of the show's trio of male characters, Lowell portrayed Jonathan Fields, who has been called "least confident, but most creative and grounded." Despite praise, the series was cancelled after only 13 episodes.

Besides a role in a small film entitled You Are Here in early 2006, Lowell did not have any major roles between Life As We Know It and summer 2006, when he was cast as Stosh "Piz" Piznarski on Veronica Mars.

In the series, Lowell plays a student at Hearst College, and the roommate of Veronica's friend Wallace, thus becoming friends with Veronica herself.

Piz is a perceived threat to the relationship of Veronica and Logan, though star Kristen Bell has said that, offscreen, the actor who portrays Logan, Jason Dohring, and Chris are very good friends.

Lowell will also appear in the upcoming film Graduation, and was recently cast as Dell on the ABC Grey's Anatomy spin-off, Private Practice. The pilot will air in the US on May 3 as an episode of Grey's Anatomy.

He currently attends University of Southern California. In his spare time, Chris enjoys amateur filmmaking, theatre, and traveling. Chris is also a vocalist and harmonica player for the indie acoustic band, Two Shots for Poe.
