Bio

Cuban-born George Alvarez received his Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree from Parsons School of Design. From there, Alvarez worked as a bartender at Studio 54 where he developed an interest in acting.

Prior to Guiding Light, Alvarez worked on the daytime dramas Port Charles, General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful. He has guest-starred on such prime-time series as N.Y.P.D. Blue and Beverly Hills 90210.

In his spare time, Alvarez enjoys yoga, biking, skiing and video games. The actor and his wife have five children and currently reside in beautiful Westchester, New York.
