I think Kate got pegged the scapegoat early one because the other contestants saw her as "weak," and because reality television is often like high school drama.
She has equal if not better experience than the other contestants. She has shown good judgment in the challenges in terms of her fashion eye, and I think (and hope) she'll go far in the competition.

I think every reality show picks a scapegoat, and Kate unfortunately got peggged that from the beginning. If you look at the sho, she has had very good eye for fashion, etc and there was a reason Cologne got booted and not her.

then... why did the "smart, former law student" Kate sign up for a reality show to begin with?? I just felt that Kate was giving off a negative image of a law student, whether they chose to stay in school or decided to drop out. There is not a single student at my law school who chooses to act the way she does on the show; I'm sure it could be a form of a mask, but it's very difficult to buy it. She's doing a very good job if she's trying to portray herself as "brainless, headstrong, law school drop-out who clearly couldn't have stayed and passed the bar". Whenever a show chooses to list things such as "ivy league grad" or whatnot, it make a form of stereotype which appeals to the general masses.
Maybe since she's so smart, she should try to prevent the media from making her look like someone "supposed to look like a ditz with big boobs so people will read [the] website".
To Lou: if you've been an attorney for a decade, shouldn't you know that law is rather difficult, and certainly not something that fits "going with the crowd"? People don't go to law school because "everyone does it"; they apply for reality shows and go to bars to get drunk because "everyone does it".
While I applaud her general dedication to fashion rather than read thick volumes of law books all day long for the rest of her life and ruin her eyes forever, I do not agree that suffering 3 years in law school, then taking the bar exam, and working as an attorney constitutes "going with the crowd". Those people who choose to endure it are also following their dreams, so I don't think you are justified in making that comment, not to mention, the "HANG TOUGH Babe" hardly sounds like a comment you'd make to someone you truly respected.

Kate, don't listen to these brats. I think you show a great deal of poise, intellect, and talent. I have been an attorney for a decade now and think you would make an excellent advocate. Instead of taking the easy route and going with the crowd, you know what you like and you have the courage to stick to your position and defend it. Few folks can do this at any point in their lives, you are doing it now. I never watch reality tv and just happened to see the show, but I am rooting for you! - on the show and for your future. HANG TOUGH Babe.

Who drops out of law school then works as a legal secretary? Dropping out pretty much says you can't handle/ don't like being in the legal field, and yet she instead wants to get paid 1/4 of a 1st year associate's salary to do way more busy (although necessary) legal work as a secretary? I don't think K&E would be too excited that their name is associated with Kate given the image she portrays on the show ("we employ people who proclaim their love of Playboy Magazine and can't work with others to save their life"). "Punk" was allegedly dropped from Sidley for being on "I Love New York 2"... if she hasn't already quit, her days there might be numbered.

It isn't hard to get a bachelor's degree anywhere, and if it's such a great school, why not name it?

I think it's interesting this website doesn't list my education. I also have a bachelors degree from a very good college and I got mine before anyone else on the cast besides Johanna. Maybe some of the other people should have taken their money and finished their education. Why would they ever write that though? I'm just supposed to look like a ditz with big boobs so people will read your website. Oh the joys of signing up for reality television.

It's difficult, if not impossible, to believe this girl made it into law school. If she had, she'd at least be a paralegal at K&E.

Kate is awful. She is so bratty, self centered, and shallow. She is the least likable contestant by far, even Megan is better- because Megan knows her stuff and is playing the game (even though she is a b****). Kate needs to stop thinking she's so hot too, she looks like a tranny with an overbite.

I think Kate is so beautiful and she should be given a chance. Where could I find more info on her?
