As a child, Masi Oka was featured on the cover of Time magazine.
Now, of course, the actor is delighting audiences as an adult with his portrayal of Hiro Nakamura. And it makes sense that Oka would star as the only real humorous character on the show.
His background is in improv, having performed on the stages of Second City, ImprovOlympics, The Groundlings, and TheatreSports.
Oka was born in Tokyo, Japan, and moved to Los Angeles at age six, where he currently resides. He is fluent in Japanese and proficient in Spanish.

Sometimes, the drama on show is rather serious and even scaring, but Hiro releaves us from such feelings. He is a really charming and lovely character.
