Sean Murray plays Timothy McGee on NCIS.

He was born in Bethesda, Md., outside Washington, D.C. His mother, Vivienne, is now married to NCIS' producer and creator, Donald Bellisario, making him his boss' stepson.

Murray's TV credits include a starring role in the UPN sitcom The Random Years and a supporting role as teen Zane Grey Hart in CBS's comedy/western series, Harts of the West.

Sean has appeared in several feature films including Hocus Pocus (in which he played Thackery Binx), This Boy's Life, and another starring role in Todd Field's Too Romantic.

His brother, Chad W. Murray, works in production on NCIS.

Murray and his wife, Carrie James, had their first child, a daughter named Caitlyn Melissa Murray, on May 3, 2007.

His father was once the Executive Officer (XO) of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Enterprise.
