Thorsten Kaye plays the wealthy casino owner, Zach Slater, a role for which he received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in 2006.
He has worked in a number of television series, including Sliders, Law & Order, Nothing Lasts Forever and Air America. Kaye has also appeared on the London stage in such plays as The Winter's Tale, Love for Love and Tartuffe.
Upon earning his master's degree in theater and theater history, Kaye joined the Hilberry Repertory Theatre Company in Detroit. He has also published a book of original poetry entitled From Timber Ridge to Daymer Gardens, with Dorothy Bridges, widow of actor Lloyd Bridges.
Kaye played rugby throughout Europe before enrolling in graduate school at Wayne State University.
