A certain murder dominates the developments next week on All My Children...

• Emma and Scott both cover for Annie.
• Marian demands Liza cease representing Kendall... or else.

As we move into the second half of July, let's take a look at the month ahead on All My Children...

• Assistant District Attorney Andrew Willis will take over Stuart Chandler's murder investigation and trial. Willis, played by Lorenzo Pisoni (pictured), was first seen on July 10.
• Kieran Campion will make one more appearance as the murdered Henry North. He was last seen - as a rotting corpse - on July 8.
• Jennifer Bassey will come back to for at least four episodes, beginning on July 21.
• David Canary will reprise the role of Adam Chandler's good-natured twin on July 24; he'll make a ghostly visit to the main suspect in his murder, Kendall Hart Slater.

Next week on All My Children, admissions are made and reunions take place...

• Jake come cleans to Amanda.
• Amanda is reunited with her son.
• David (Vincent Irizarry, pictured) accepts that his marriage to Krystal is over.
• Kendall admits her love for Zach.

Having extended her contract on All My Children, Chrishell Stause has settled nicely into her role as Amanda.

Now, in a new interview, the actress prepares viewers for an exciting storyline ahead on the show. She says:

"The audience is in for a twist. If it came out the way that it’s playing, with Jake having given Liza my baby, and he lied to me the whole time, then I would not forgive him. That’s unforgivable. But there’s going to be a twist for the better. There’s a lot of happiness in Amanda and Jake’s future."

Kendall takes center stage often next week on All My Children...

Cougar Town is coming to ABC.

There's also a reality show specifically called The Cougar.

So how could All My Children resist the opportunity to place one of television's most popular, older, attractive characters into a relationship with a younger man?

Later this month, Erica Kane will fall into the arms of a much younger man: her daughter's ex-husband and ex-fiance's stepson. Indeed, Ryan Lavery will kiss Erica on the cheek on June 22 and the sparks will fly from there.

When asked if this relationship was a reflection of of the culture's current obsession with experienced women dating men very much their junior, All My Children executive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers said:

"Certainly the fact that it is a hot topic right now makes it all that more delicious for us. It doesn't mean that that is how we're going to tell the story."

Carruthers said Susan Lucci, who is 62 years old and plays Kane; and the 39-year-old Cameron Mathison, who plays Ryan; have great comic chemistry. The writers were looking for a way to feature them together in some capacity for awhile now.

It's complicated, of course: Ryan was once married to Kendall, the girl Kane gave birth to after being raped at age 14.

"Think about this," Lucci said. "I slept with his father. He slept with my daughter. There has to be, at a certain point, (thoughts of) what does he know about me? What does he think he knows about me? As an actor, there's so much material to plumb into."

That's for certain.
